Trip Timeline

December 15th and 16th

Everyone leaves from different places throughout the United States.

Evening of Friday, December 16th

Arrive in Yaounde, Cameroon at 5:35 pm  (“Yow-oon-day”) at the Nsimalin airport.

(This is 8:35 am Spokane WA time)

(This is 11:35 am Eastern Standard Time)

December 17th & 18th (Saturday & Sunday)

* Get adjusted to time zone, climate, visit the market, cultural museum, etc.

* Church service at a local church (morning)

* Sunday Evening there is a missionary worship service at the CTC campus.

Monday, December 19th

Fly in 4 shifts (airplane’s only hold 4 people) to the village of Lassin.

Flight will be about 2 hours.

Lassin is the area that the Lux’s have lived for most of the last 20 years.

Tuesday, December 20th

* Learn about the life, culture, and people in Lassin.

Wednesday, December 21st

* Possibly drive to Misaje (“Mis-ah-jay”), where the Lux’s currently live to oversee and aid in the New Testament translation of 6 other languages related to Nooni.

Thursday, December 22nd

* Drive to Nko for the New Testament Dedication.

* Nko is a Noni village about 10km from Lassin.

* Nko is the biggest Noni village complete with government delegates and therefore the host of the dedication.

* After dedication, head back to Lassin and pack for the departure the following day back to Yaounde.

Friday, December 23rd

* In the morning, attend a Thanksgiving Celebration at the home church in Lassin.

* Some of the team members will fly back in the morning, while others will fly back to Yaounde in the afternoon.

* Some may drive back to Yaounde, but be prepared for a 10 hour drive.

Saturday, December 24th

* Last day in Yaounde. Finish any souvenir shopping. Don’t forget to bring your family some items for home.

* Some of the team members will be leaving Yaounde Christmas Eve.

Sunday, December 25th (Merry Christmas!)

* Enjoy and celebrate the birth of our Crucified & Risen Redeemer.

* Leave for airport around 7 or 8 pm.

Monday, December 26th

* Arrive back in United States in cities throughout the United States
